I’ve had a few of these - initially the small version to use with a little Canon Ixus, and then later the DSLR version. The DSLR version in particular is very robust and will keep the camera still.

At one point, the top of one of the legs developped a crack in it, but after talking to Joby and sending them a photo of the problem, they sent me a replacement that arrived very soon afterwards.

If you get one - you’ll love it I’m sure :)
Incidentally, I do use a proper tripod as well, but this thing bends nicely in to my camera bag for when I’m travelling (relatively) light.

I’m wondering, will it hold my Canon 350d with battery grip with a Sigma 10-20 or Tamron 70-300?

They have a large gorilla pod made for DSLR’s with bigger zoom lenses. It should hold.
