Are you having trouble keeping up with your 365 project? Consider this. Jamie Livingston died on his 41st birthday on October, 25 1997 after having taken one Polaroid a day since 1979. That’s 18 years!
DIYPhotography.net is hosting the At My Home Photo Contest in conjunction with the release of the new America At Home book which can be purchased at Amazon or if you buy the book here you can create a custom cover with your own picture from home.
Are brick and mortar camera stores needing a class in customer service etiquette? Philoking.com seems to feel that local camera shops need to rethink their business models and Thomas Hawk seems to agree. You can of course read his take on the story. I’ll add that I’ve had a couple of run ins with camera shop employees who were not only less than helpful, but also quite elitist as well. That being said, I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Armadillo Camera of Lubbock, TX. They were always polite, helpful, and spot on with their recommendations for products and services. I implore every camera shop to read their take on The Amarillo Way. That’s how a camera shop should operate!
This week’s photoblog highlight is Treeswing. Treeswing is produced by photographer Sean McKendall out of Champaign, Illinois. Sean has a wonderful eye for photography. His use of color and composition coupled with his eye for design produce remarkable works for a self taught photographer. I especially like Mass Consumption.
Here are some really great readers’ photos to enjoy. If you’re interested in seeing your images on this website join our Flickr group today!
