Weekend Perusing: Fine Art Photography
Damien Franco | Jun 27, 2008 | Comments Comments
This weeks “Featured Photoblog” is Fine Art Photoblog.
If you aren’t already familiar with the fine folks at Fine Art Photoblog here is a quick head count of the great artists that make up this project:
Brian Auer
Neil Creek
Andrew Gibson
Andreas Manessinger
Cody Redmon
Joseph Szymanski
David Ziser
Fine Art Photoblog is in the process of choosing two more photographers and will be making their announcement on Monday. Good luck to those deciding because I’ve gone through those portfolios and I wouldn’t want to have to pick. The good thing is that they really can’t make a wrong choice, with the talent that showed up whomever they choose I’m sure will make a great addition.
In related photo-blogosphere news, Brian Auer asks What is Fine Art Photography? over at Epic Edits Weblog. There are many comments to peruse as people try their best to define and answer or merely just contemplate.
Instead of leaving a comment I decided to take a further look into the same question for myself Defining Fine Art Photography: Introverted if you’re interested in my personal works.
Defining Fine Art Photography requires a look into more blogs that deal with Fine Art Photography as opposed to Photographic Techniques. Here are some notables.
[EV+-] Exposure Compensation is about photography as an art medium and a communication tool.
A Photo Editor is the home of Rob Haggard former Director of Photography for Men’s Journal and Outside Magazine.
AVS or “A Visual Society” is a great look into the musings of a photography agent in New York.
Now, onto the artworks of our readers at the Your Photo Tips Flickr Group, enjoy!
