Earlier we asked our readers in the Your Photo Tips.com Flickr Group to give us some of their best one sentence photography tips and we had a great response! For the next few weeks I’ll be elaborating, in my own words, what those photo tips mean to me and how they can help you become a better photographer. Shut Up and Shoot!
NetDep sort of threw me for a loop when he said
To paraphrase Rihanna, “Shut up and shoot!”
As much as I tried to Google Rihanna Photographer, Rihanna Photography, and Photography by Rihanna, I just couldn’t find Rihanna the Photographer or his/her website.
Nothing.
Well, maybe something. I did find a pop singer who goes by Rihanna. Then, with further digging, I found a song title “Shut Up and Drive”.
So I bought the song, uploaded it to my iPod, then listened to it.
First, I want to go on record stating that I do not condone the listening of Pop Music, so please use all caution when researching. I only bought the song because I had to figure out what NetDep was talking about. I have since only listened to the song a small handful of times and consequently deleted said song from my iPod. I don’t believe that any permanent damage was done, although I am being monitored closely.
The point, is that you aren’t getting any younger, so just grab your camera and shut up and shoot!
If you or someone you know is having problems with Pop Music addiction, please get them help. It’s never too late to stop the madness. For guidance on how you can help, please visit The Pop Music Initiative and find out how you can help stop the insanity.

BRAVO!!
The interpretation is spot on!! Sometimes I think one should just turn off the computer, put down the camera magazines and stop thinking and just get out there and DO IT! Thanks for posting this — always enjoy your thoughts!!!
