Weekend Perusing: Arizona Series no.19

Discovered Art:

Arizona Series no.19

Arizona Series no.19

Arizona Series no.19 is another photograph found at DiscoveredArtists that just drew me in. This piece by Xiao Tse can be had for a measly $85 as a 7×7 photo rag print. I just find it lovely.

If you love photography books then it would be worth your while to check out 5B4. It’s a blog on photography and books and one that I’ve had in my reader for quite a while. Pity it’s only now that I share it with you.

Strobist has a quick tutorial on water drop photos and the set up is based on one speedlight. Pretty cool stuff.

Do you still have fun with your photography? Sit back, relax, and enjoy a good photobooth. Looks like it was really fun to produce.

Here’s a really cool image that kinda messes with your senses of perspective. Well, it did for me anyway.

This is just a great story with some great photographs. Here’s the teaser: it involves a nun and a beard. You’ll have to head there to find out more.

If you use Lightroom, have you ever wondered what the difference was between exposure and brightness?

The
Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP 10 MP Waterproof Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Black)
would be a great little vacation camera, especially if you’re headed to the beach.  Here’s a review and press release.

In Art Photography

Here’s a great collection of images from photographer Grant Ernhart. Beautiful contemporary work.

Photoprenuer has an article about a service for outsourcing the sales of your fine art prints.

In Art

Over at Objectively Speaking, Ian has a guest post from painter Linda Sgoluppi.  It’s a great post followed by some really fantastic works of art.

In Your Photo Tips News

We’ll be reviewing this month’s Photography Book Club selection The Hot Shoe Diaries by Joe McNally on Sunday.  What was that?  Yes, I said Sunday.  There is a method to my madness here.  See, if I do the review on Monday, then announce the new book on Tuesday, with Wordless Wednesday you actually don’t get any “new” content until Thursday.  Then it’s Friday and then the whole week went by and yeah…Sunday it is!

Of couse don’t forget that we are still giving away a Canon PowerShot Compact Digital Camera.  There’s just over a  month left to get your entries in.

Did you catch yesterday’s post on 20 Amazing Photographers From Around The Internet?

Now it’s time for some more great photography!  Enjoy.

  • Great selection of photos! Personally I found the close up shot of the lime to be my favorite, I don't know why, as I enjoyed all the photos, but that one stood out to me the most unique, even though it is just a lime.
