The Handy Dandy Cameraphone

Did you know that the most popular cameras are the ones we carry around with us all of the time?
I’m talking about the camera on your phone!
Sure, they’re not the best quality, and you’re not going to land a job with National Geographic due to your cameraphone’s images (or could you?..), but at least you’ve got it with you at all times.
These little cameras can have some really great use for photographers of all skill levels. Some are practical; like taking a pic of an item at a store and sending it to your spouse for approval, while some applications of these cameraphones are artistic; like taking a pic of a scene you want to return to when you’ve got your real gear with you during optimal lighting times.
I’ve been using the camera on my iPhone more and more and the some of the photography apps for the iPhone are pretty sweet.
The beauty of photography is that when you master the basics you can improve your art no matter what piece of gear you lug around. Apply the basics of photography, like composition, found throughout this website, and you’ll find that your little cameraphone really can pack quite a punch.
