Discovered Photography

Solitaire by Jackie Cytrynbaum is available for purchase as a 14″x9″ for $450 at DiscoveredArtists. It’s a splendidly wonderful piece evoking emotions reminiscent of a disoriented daydream. I love it.

Twenty-year-old Ana Cuba lives, works and studies in Barcelona, Spain. Our friends at Feature Shoot have a great piece on this truly talented photographer . I’m soooo inspired.

It’s actually snowing where I live (this never happens!) so I’m kinda longing to be somewhere else. Paris perhaps. This fantastic image taken at le Louvre isn’t helping either.

Your Photo Tips News

I’m gonna start using this section to highlight developments and to inform you of things that change and all that jazz.

We’ve been getting many emails about the Exposure Community’s quiet and quick demise. Yes…it’s frustrating. There were back end issues dealing with the Ning platform and I guess they couldn’t fix it. Total let down on so many levels. We are looking at alternatives but I want to make sure that the next software platform we use will allow me to actually get my hands dirty (so to speak) should something go wrong. In the meantime, I do recommend our Flickr Group as a place to hold you over. It’s not as active as it used to be but I’m willing to bet that will change soon.

We’ve also been getting some emails about the Photography Book Club. Where did it go? As a regular feature it just didn’t quite take off like I wanted it to. We had very little participation (no one was sending in their own reviews) and so we’re just taking it to a different direction. I’ll be changing that page to a photography book reviews page and moving a few things around. Don’t worry, we’ll still be doing book reviews, but they’ll most likely end up being new books sent in by publishers.

We’ll be adding in more posts than just the average of 5 a week. There will be posts done over the weekend and some days will include multiple posts. This is to ensure that we get enough tips on photography while still providing book reviews, news, press releases and all that other stuff you’ve grown to love here at Your Photo Tips.
