Discovered Photography

A starfish clings for life as the sun sets near Malibu, California. Life’s Grip by Steve Sieren is available for $895 as a 24″x36″ Gallery Wrap.

Burn Magazine has a great write up on photographer Christopher Young.  His work is simply outstanding.

I had to laugh about this post Pinkified in Paris.  Reminds me of my house.  Between my wife and my two girls (even my dog is female) I’m constantly surrounded by pink.

What do you get when you combine skateboarding, 3D, and awesome photography?  Sebastian Denz knows.

Cool idea.  HDR with an iPhone.  Yep.

Over at Digital Picture Zone you can find info on photographing with candle light.  Good stuff.

For those of us north of the equator it’s been a bit chilly.  Need some summer time reminders?  Hmmm…maybe a winter house in Australia is in order.  No more winters would please my wife.

Justin Korn has a write up on his first attempt working on stock photography for a new (and different) stock photography website.  I think many of you looking at stock photography as a second income may find this website of great interest.

The Digital Photography Student has a book review of The 123 of Digital Imaging.  I know a few people that have found this resource quite helpful.

I’m a dad.  This is freakin’ cute. I’m just saying.

Hadn’t heard about the PhotogShootouts?  Yeah, neither did I, but it sounds really cool.

  • So good it almost looks fake.
  • amazing picture!
  • You touched on something so true in your comment, how "valuable" a good shot is, that's why when it comes to one in a life time events, example like a wedding it is so worth it to get a true professional, kinda of a random comment on my part, but Just had to add that in to your comment :D

    Till then,

  • I liked it, very great image:)
  • @Laptop Briefcases, for good quality artwork I guess you have to pay for it!
  • That HDR post about the Iphone is cool, but it does bring up the need for a Iphone Tripod... Sounds like a money maker.
  • Very impressive photo..
  • Having lived at the coast and marvelled at the beauty that can be had at the interface of land and water, I just so appreciate this photograph. It could be a surreal scene from an alien planet far away. Great work.
  • Yes I really like the starfish photo too. I can't believe he's charging $900 for a print of this photo though. It shows how valuable a good shot can be.
  • I would like to have winter house in Australia, or even somewhere near. Right about now I got snow under my windows and water is freezing on the ground...
  • Amazing photograph. I like to see again n again this photo. Thanks.
