Photography Book Reviews

Reading is fundamental.  I think I read that somewhere (truthfully I probably heard it in a movie).

Reading books on photography techniques and theories will help you grow as a photographer by leaps and bounds.  It’s not just photography tips though.  You really want to absorb everything there is about photography.  Whether you plan on doing this for a living or not, if you really have that passion then every piece of information can help you overcome obstacles that seem to appear out of nowhere.

I’ve always felt that studying the principles behind photography equipment, techniques, and theories/essays on photographic art made me a more well rounded photographer, able to use fashion, art, portraiture, or whatever else is necessary to produce the image I’m creating.

It’s not just photography though.  It’s art in general.  Learning the  basics of design, composition, color, and much more translates into and influences every frame, image, snapshot, picture, or whatever.  The more you know…
